Sterling's Kayaks and Fiberglass proudly introduces its newest line of kayaks, the Mini-Yak. These kayaks are perfectly sized for children and teens up to 120 pounds and are great on lakes and other protected waters. The kayaks are 10' 10" long, 20" wide, and weigh just 20 lbs. complete.
These kayaks are the real deal, featuring molded-in knee braces, foot pegs, cockpit combing, and a specially-shaped rear deck to facilitate rolling. There's also an optional removable skeg to improve tracking, and provisions for fore and aft flotation bags. These kayaks are the perfect first step for any youngster in learing to paddle a full-size touring kayak.
One of the best parts of these boats is they are fully customizable. Just name your color, seat preference, lettering, fittings - you name it, Sterling is able to make it. We sold some to a resort and put their name on them, another was sold with the new owner's nickname proudly emblazoned on it.
